WHAT WE DO
Preserving your photographs to share & enjoy
From loose photographs and family albums to slides, negatives and damaged portraits, Storykeepers helps turn old family photographs into organised digital archives, restored images and beautiful keepsakes.
You do not need to sort everything before speaking to us. If all you have is a box from the loft, an old album, an envelope of negatives or a few treasured photographs, that is enough to start.
HOW WE CAN HELP
Every family collection is different.
Some people simply want their photographs safely digitised — just in case. Others have important images they would love to see restored, reprinted and beautifully framed, giving them pride of place rather than leaving them hidden away in a drawer.
Some families need help organising a larger archive or creating copies to share with relatives. Others have special photographs that tell a bigger story — images that could become legacy books to help loved ones remember, share and pass those stories on.

LOOSE PHOTOGRAPH DIGITISING
For the boxes, envelopes and bundles every family seems to have.
Most families have a box of loose photographs full of holiday snaps, school photographs, baby and childhood milestones, pets, old portraits and past family members. Most haven’t seen the light of day for many years and are deteriorating over time.
We carefully digitise loose photographs so they can be safely stored, shared and enjoyed again, while the originals are returned to you.
This is ideal if you have inherited a collection, are clearing a family home, downsizing, or simply want to make sure important photographs are not lost, damaged or forgotten.
BEST FOR
Inherited photo collections
House moves, loft clear-outs or downsizing
Sharing photographs with siblings, children or relatives
Preserving priceless images and creating a safer digital backup
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Safe handling and scanning of your original prints
Basic dust removal and colour restoration
High-quality digital copies
Basic file organisation
Optional restoration of selected images
Optional prints, frames or legacy story books
Good to know: You do not need to sort, label or organise everything before contacting us, although anything already grouped or labelled will help the process.
Price and quantity: Loose photographs are priced by quantity, but don’t try to count them all. As a rough guide, 100 photos stacked flat is around 2.5cm high & 500 stacked flat is around 12–15cm high.
ALBUM & SCRAPBOOK DIGIT
Preserving the photographs, handwriting, captions & stories within family albums
Family albums often hold more than photographs. They preserve handwriting, captions, dates, places, order and the way someone chose to tell the story at the time.
We can digitise albums as complete pages, individual photographs, or a combination of both, depending on the album’s condition and what you want to preserve.
For some families, the album itself is the story. For others, the priority is safely capturing the individual photographs inside it. We’ll talk this through with you before anything begins.
BEST FOR
Old family albums
Wedding albums
Scrapbooks
Fragile or fading collections
Albums with handwritten notes or captions
Albums you want to share with family members
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Advice on the safest approach
Digitising full album pages
Optional individual image capture
Basic colour restoration for individual images
Digital files organised by album or section
Optional restored versions of selected photographs
Good to know: Some albums are best preserved as complete pages, especially where captions, handwriting or layout are part of the story. Others may allow photographs to be digitised individually. We’ll advise before starting.
Pricing note: Usually priced by album size, condition and whether you want page scans, individual photographs, or both.
SLIDES & NEGATIVES
Bringing hidden family images back into view.
Slides and negatives often hide some of the best family photographs, but most people no longer have the equipment to view them.
We can digitise suitable slides and negatives so the images can be seen, shared and included in your family archive.
These collections are often full of forgotten holidays, weddings, childhood moments and family members who may never have been properly printed or shared.
BEST FOR
35mm slides
Colour and black and white negatives
Old family holiday images
Collections that have never been printed
Photographs you can no longer easily view
Images you want to include in a wider family archive
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Cleaning and basic colour restoration
Digital files saved at optimal quality
Basic file structure and organisation
Optional image enhancement where possible
Good to know: Negatives and slides vary in condition and format. A quick photo of what you have is usually enough for us to tell you whether we can help.
Important: We currently focus on printed photographs, albums, slides and negatives. We do not digitise cine film, VHS, camcorder tapes or video formats.
PHOTO RESTORATION
For photographs that are faded, torn, creased or too important to lose.
Some photographs are too important to leave faded, torn or hidden away.
Over time, colours change, tones yellow, surfaces mark, and old prints can become creased or damaged through years of handling and storage. With over 20 years’ experience in photography, image processing and print production, Rich can carefully restore many damaged or faded photographs, creating a cleaner, clearer version while leaving the original untouched.
Once restored, the image can be reprinted, framed, gifted, or preserved as part of your family archive.
BEST FOR
Faded photographs
Creased or torn prints
Scratched or marked images
Old portraits
Memorial or tribute pieces
Wedding photographs
Photographs you want to frame or gift
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Assessment of the image and quote
Digital restoration work
Original photograph left unchanged
Before-and-after preview
High-resolution restored file
Optional print or framed version
Optional duplicate copies for family members
Good to know: Restoration is always carried out on a digital copy. Your original photograph is not physically altered.
Pricing note: Restoration is usually quoted per image depending on the level of repair needed. We will provide you with a quote beforehand and will honour this price even if it takes us longer.
FAMILY ARCHIVE CREATION
Turning scattered photographs, slides and negatives into a collection the whole family can use.
Digitising is only part of the story. Many families want help turning a collection of photographs into something organised, understandable and easy to share.
We will work with you to organise your images by family, era, event, place or person, creating a digital archive that feels less like a folder of files and more like a family collection.
This can be especially useful after inheriting photographs, clearing a family home, preparing for a milestone birthday, or wanting to share family history with children and grandchildren.
BEST FOR
Larger photo collections
Several boxes or albums
Inherited photographs
Family history projects
Sharing images with siblings or relatives
Creating a long-term digital backup
Preparing for a family book or keepsake
WHAT’S INCLUDED
A conversation about your collection
Advice on what is worth preserving
Folder structure by family, date, theme or event
Meaningful file naming where appropriate
Duplicate copies for relatives
Optional written notes or captions
Optional book or framed product planning
Originals safely returned
KEEPSAKES & LEGACY PIECES
Bringing your family photo’s back into daily life.
Some photographs deserve to be seen, held and enjoyed — not left sitting safely in a folder or tucked away in a drawer.
We can help turn restored or digitised images into meaningful gifts and keepsakes. Through our in-house framing, printing and design service, treasured photographs, captions, notes and memories can become legacy story books, boxed reprints and beautifully framed restored images.
This is where a family archive becomes something people can hold, display, gift and talk about — now, and for years to come.
BEST FOR
Special birthdays
Anniversaries
Memorial gifts or occasions
Supporting fading memories
Family reunions
Grandparent gifts
Siblings who all want a copy
